1)find out about the events leading up to the disappearance of the 2 princes
they were last seen in the tower of London for Edward’s (the older prince) coronation.Edward III died suddenly shortly before and Edward would have become Edward IV.
2)find a motive-who might want them dead and why?
Richard could want them dead as he was rather power hungry and didn’t want some boy to be a king.
also Henry VII (at this time known as Henry Tudor) would want them dead as if they were alive by the time Henry won at Bosworth in 1485 Edward would be king, not Henry and it could also be that the princes weren’t killed in Richard’s reign, rather in Henry’s.
3)find any evidence to show it might not have been a murder
they could have died of disease as disease was common in the 15th century but also they could have died of perhaps an accident such breaking a leg and dying of an infection or smallpox or even plague as Edmund Tudor (Henry Tudor’s father) dies of it.
4)find any evidence of murder
there are 2 major suspects Henry Tudor and Richard III king of England
Henry could have killed them that if the princes in the tower would be alive, they would be king, not Henry so he would have killed as a part to secure the crown firmly to the house of Tudor and could have spread the rumour that Richard killed them making his cause seem just he also gave land and important jobs to miles forest and John Dighton.
or it could have been Richard, as Richard wanted the crown for himself and was crowned after the princes mysterious disappearance, but rumours started spreading that he had them assassinated.
