1509-henry VII dies, Arthur dies, Henry becomes Henry VIII, marries Arthur’s widow, Katherine of Aragon.
1513-katherine ran country for him whilst he was gone in France and defeated the Scottish army and brought back the dead Scottish king’s coat still stained with his blood
1527-henry thought that Katherine was becoming too old to have children and Henry wanted a divorce.he also fell in love with Anne Boleyn.
1533-fell out with the pope as a result he got excommunicated.
2)Henry the athlete was a very sporty man doing jousting, royal tennis and hunting.
Henry the catholic was very religious and for being such a good catholic he got the title fidei defensor (meaning defender of the faith).
Henry the spender;
he won and lost thousands of pounds per day on dice, cards, tennis, wrestling and jousting. he also loved dressing in the most expensive clothes such as silk shirts, golden buttons and jewel encrusted jackets. he also spent a lot on lavish parties at one of 55 royal palaces.
